Un grand projet pour Versailles
After the « Grand Louvre », the « Grand Versailles » project comes within the development and renovation policy of the national French museums.
This ambitious programme has been launched on the 30th of October 2003 by Jean-Jacques Aillagon, minister for the Culture and the Communication.
Spread on the 2003-2020 period and distributed in 3 phases, the works of the « Grand Versailles » aim at:
Offering a better reception to the public
Proposing new tours and services
Extending the cultural offer of the castle to a national concept
Improving the safety and the operation of the establishment.
